Friday, June 12

  • 9:00am - 10:30am Participation Check-In and Breakfast

    Arrive at the venue no later than 10:30am to receive your badge and shirt. This is the time to finalize your teams!

  • 11:00am - 12:30pm Hackathon Kickoff

    Opening ceremony, introducing rules, prizes and sponsors. Keynote speakers: Lior Zoref and Guy Schory!

  • 12:30 Hacking Begins! May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor!

    Beginning the 27-hour marathon of developing

  • 13:30pm - 16:00pm Lunch

    Lunch – Chicken drums, rice, steam vegetable, Salad and fruit.

  • 18:30pm - 21:00pm Dinner

    Supper – Schnitzel, French fries, green beans, Salad and fruit

  • 10:00am - 11:00pm Workshop: How to Launch on Product Hunt + Other Platforms

    Presented by Ben Lang - Tricks / tips on launching your project and getting it out there.

  • 11:00am - 12:00pm Workshop: Creating the winning pitch!

    Presented by Anat Amir

  • 12:30pm - 14:30pm Lunch!

    Lunch – Burger, French fries, bun and pickles, Salad and fruit.

  • 3:00pm Hacking Stops! Take your hands off the keyboards!

    You must stop developing, and will now have 30min to prepare your pitches for the Hunger Games round of judging.

  • 3:30pm Round 1 of Judging Begins!

    Each team will have several judges stop at their location, and will pitch their product to them. The top 8 teams will move on to the Shark Tank round!

  • 6:00pm - 8:00pm Final Pitches Begin and Winners are Announced!

    The closing ceremony, including final pitches and prizes. Exciting!!

Guy Schory | Head of Corporate Strategic Initiatives @ eBay Inc.

Guy Schory is responsible for identifying and driving strategic initiatives for eBay Inc. globally. His focus includes leading end-to-end initiatives addressing the company’s top priorities and bringing external innovation into the company through the establishment of new R&D centers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and startup programs.

Previously, Guy served as the Head of Product for RedLaser, a leading mobile shopping and product search platform managed as an independent unit within eBay. In this position, he helped grow RedLaser's user base to over 12 million downloads and to frequently rank among the Top 100 applications in the App Store. RedLaser has been featured as a leading shopping app by the New York Times, Oprah Winfrey, USA Today, PC Magazine, and others.


Prior to RedLaser, he held a managerial position in eBay’s Corporate Strategy group, focused on M&A and strategic partnerships. Guy started his eBay career in 2006, where he was responsible for managing eBay's industry-leading Internet Marketing platforms.

He recently published book is called Mindsharing – The Art of Crowdsourcing Everything. He gave the first ever crowdsourced TED talk at TED 2012 in Long Beach, California.

Lior holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from the Technion and currently is a PhD candidate at Bar-Ilan University. He worked for fourteen years at Microsoft where his last role was Vice President of Marketing for Consumer and Online Services.

Hack Generation Y is an hackathon for youth - a 36 hours event where we bring the most talented teenagers, soldiers and students to create amazing new apps and products, in a fierce innovation competition.

Do I need to pay for HackGenY?

Nope, It’s totally free! We’ll also take care of provide you with a the best food available, a lot of swag and a place to sleep when you need a break from coding.

When and where is Hack Generation Y?

Anat Amir | How to present a winning pitch.

Anat is the GM of Imagine, the IoT Creative Lab at AGT. She spends most of the her day coming up with with new concepts and product ideas, focusing the internet of things and bringing smart environments to life. She led the Android and Mobile marketing team at Google across EMEA, and led launch efforts for the Android platform and first device outside the US. Anat established and led Google’s marketing efforts in Africa and has worked on several cross regional projects. She led User Experience and Research at O2, from the Telefonica Group across the European operating businesses.
